Life # 21 – Alex, Rhys and Indiana from Coolum
This month, the Cricks team would like to help a family from Coolum in need of some support.
28 year old Alex and her partner Rhys recently had a baby girl. Not long afterwards, Alex noticed a lump on her breast, but GPs told her it was normal. She was breastfeeding and so they said it was probably a block duct. But Alex went back again when the lump didn’t go, and further investigations revealed she had aggressive breast cancer.
So now, instead of focussing all her attention on her beautiful newborn baby girl, Alex is undergoing a gruelling schedule of chemotherapy and surgery.
Their situation is lot for anyone to deal with, let alone a young couple with a new baby.
When we spoke to Alex, she said there are some baby things they are still in need of. We would love to help them with the things they need, and also take some of the burden of them at home.
What We Need
1. Baby things - we have a list of some of the items the family needs, please click the button below and we will let you know what they are.
2. Some general gardening - We need a few people from the Cricks team to volunteer their time to mow the lawn and do a bit of basic gardening so Rhys and Alex can be left to focus on getting Alex better and caring for Indiana. Cricks CEO John Eastham has volunteered his time, and we would love a few others to join him. Please click the link below to let us know if you can help.
