"We can't thank you all enough" - Cricks staff support Coolum family

A couple of months ago we were trying to help a family from Coolum - Alex, Rhys and their baby girl Indiana. Not long after Indiana was born, Alex noticed a lump on her breast, but GPs told her it was normal. She was breastfeeding and so they said it was probably a block duct. But Alex went back again when the lump didn’t go, and further investigations revealed she had aggressive breast cancer.

Since that time, Alex has been undergoing a gruelling schedule of chemotherapy and surgery.

We wanted to do something kind for them. And thanks to all of you, this is what we did:

  • House and Garden Maintanence: A big thankyou to Glen Turrell (VW), John Eastham, Tim Astill (MBSC), Shane Slater (MBSC) and John Timpany (Honda Sugar Rd) for generously donating their time to do this for Alex and Rhys. It has helped make their life a lot easier.

  • Baby toys and gift vouchers: Thanks so much to Larrissa Cornacchia (MDR-CRM), Dave Nisbet (Wises Rd) and the Mercedes Benz Parts Department for donating some amazing toys for little Indiana. It has put a big smile on her face.

Your kindness has made such a difference to this family and helped them to feel supported at a time when they needed it most. Thanks everyone.

Thank you Cricks!!

This is the best interaction toy!! She had been amused for over an hour. Thank you so much for purchasing. You have made her (and my) day!!!

Please thank everyone for the amazing toys, baby walker, bouncer, books and clothing for Indi. She loves them!! Especially Sophie the giraffe as she's teething. I came home from chemo and was feeling a little sick and over it and this brightened my day. Rhys and I are blown away by all the love and support. We can't thank you all enough.

Please forward this message on the the Cricks family. You’re all so wonderful.

Alex and Rhys
