"I cannot express how grateful we are" - a Sunshine Coast family received some much-needed

We heard about a Sunshine Coast family in need of some help. Ray, a mechanic at one of the local colleges, has been having a tough time.

His daughter, who was living in New Zealand, was sadly diagnosed with breast cancer and so his wife flew over to be with her during her treatment. While she was there, she too was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Ray and his wife had to move out of their home during her treatment - they couldn't afford the payments while she wasn't working. Ray's daughter has since been diagnosed with bone cancer. She has a 14 year old son, and has had so much treatment that both of her arms are broken - she broke one opening a window and one turning on a light in the car. Ray has been paying her expenses for over a year, and he and his wife take it in turns to drive down to Brisbane to care for her.

Ray decided it was time to sell their home, but the house was in need of some work. A local business kindly offered to do some tiling for free, but the tiles were going cost around $1500 - more than the family can afford.

We asked the Cricks team to help cover the cost of thee tiles for him - and managed to raise the full amount!

Thankyou so much to Deano, Tamara Broadhurst, Daniel Dillon, the Sugar Rd Service Dept, the VW Service Dept. Ian Brown, Jen, Jason, Kim, Tash, Glen and Finny for their generosity. You have helped to make this family's life a little bit easier.
